In this context, Amui took part in a tree planting campaign in Lindlar on 19 November 2024, which was organised and carried out by Dietrich Spohr GmbH in collaboration with Plant My Tree.
As part of the campaign, 250 red oaks (Quercus rubra) were planted, which will bind around 52 tonnes of CO₂ by 2050.
Coordinates of the area:
51°00’47.7″N 7°25’01.4″E
The choice of red oak is no coincidence: this tree species, originally native to North America and named Tree of the Year 2025, is particularly adaptable and resistant to pests and diseases.

Thanks to its rapid growth and ability to thrive even on nutrient-poor soils, it contributes to the stabilisation of forests in times of climate change. Its strongly branched root system also makes it storm-resistant, while its high-quality wood is used in a variety of interior fittings, for example for parquet flooring, stairs or furniture.
For Amui, the tree planting campaign is an important building block on the road to a sustainable future. It shows how companies can actively take responsibility for climate protection through targeted measures. Amui is proud to help organise such projects and support companies like Dietrich Spohr GmbH on their sustainable path.
